North Wales tour with Archaeotours

Day 1
Meet at Conwy or Llandudno Junction Station in the afternoon. We walk the medieval walls that surround the ancient town of Conwy and have time to visit the castle and or the Tudor House (both optional)
Drive through magnificent scenery to reach our base in Beddgelert in the heart of Snowdonia stopping on the way at Bettws y coed and hopefully (weather dependent) seeing and photographing mount Snowdon on our way to Beddgelert where we find our accommodation . There are fine restaurants pubs and shops in Beddgelert

Day 2
We drive through wonderful scenery to spend the day on Angelsey  here we visit Bryn Celli Ddu burial chamber, Penrhos standing stones,  Holyhead Mountain hut circles ,Din Lligwy ancient village and chamber and other ancient sites before returning to Beddgelert

Day 3
 We travel to Llanberis through the amazing Nant Peris pass here we visit the National Slate museum and there is an opportunity to ride on one of the Little Steam Trains of North Wales (optional)
In the afternoon we head for Caernarvon where the castle hosted the investiture of Prince Charles as Prince of Wales in 1969

Day 4
An optional extra day to walk or climb Snowdon or to take the mountain railway to the summit .Other options include Harlech Castle and Port Merion
